F.A.Q - MICROBLADING
How long does the procedure last?
This will vary for each person depending on the regeneration of your skin. As long as it is maintained, it will last 1 - 3 years. It is recommended on average to have color refreshed from 12 - 18 months after the initial procedure.
How long does it take?
For the initial procedure a 2 hour appointment is booked. This allows time for cleansing the area, measuring of the brows, time for numbing cream to set in, the procedure and clean up.
Does the application hurt?
Some clients find the procedure a little uncomfortable. Other clients have no discomfort at all. Topical cream is regularly topped up to keep you comfortable.
How do you choose a color?
The color is chosen together by applying small amounts of different colored pigments to the skin near your brows. We will observe the color in indoor lighting and outdoor lighting (natural light) to choose the best match.
What will they look like immediately after the procedure?
The brow area may be a bit swollen and red. Sometimes there is a bit of white from the numbing cream. This is very normal. The brow will be quite darker for the first week and then fade to a softer color.
How do you choose the shape?
The shape is chosen together. The shape will be traced with makeup and mutually agreed to the ideal shape and amount of fullness desired. Brow measurements taken to solidify proper symmetry.

No, you cannot have the treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Does it hurt afterward?
The area can be a little sore for the first few hours, and then tender to the touch for a couple of days.
Can I wash my face like normal after the treatment?
When washing your face, refrain from using soaps and creams on the tattooed areas during healing time. When showering ot bathing apply a thick layer of Vaseline and avoid putting your face directly in the showerhead steam.
Pools, Jacuzzis and saunas should be avoided for a period of 5-7 days or until tattooed area is fully healed.
Skin creams and products containing Retin-A, AHA, or any kind of skin peel must not be used directly on the tattooed area as they will fade and possibly distort the tattoo. No tanning or prolonged sun exposure.
Do I need to take a day off work?
No. There is no downtime associated with the treatment. The brows will appear darker but not dark enough to prevent any and all daily activities (avoid direct sun).
